About CeraVe

CeraVe is a dermatologist-developed skincare brand built around ceramide-based, barrier-repairing formulas — cleansers, moisturizers, and treatment products positioned as clinically credible rather than trend-driven. Across the reels reviewed, CeraVe consistently anchors its influencer and branded-content strategy in two recurring pillars: (1) a licensed dermatologist as a credibility figure, and (2) high-visibility talent partnerships — professional athletes (NBA rookies, Summer League, established stars) and entertainment tie-ins (Love Island USA) — used to carry the brand into culturally relevant, high-attention moments.

The seven reels analyzed here span skincare-only content and co-branded, multi-partner content (Matrix, Maybelline, Peacock), and range from 15-second single-joke skits to 85-second interactive quizzes — giving a useful cross-section of format bets the brand made over a two-month window (May–Jul 2026).

Challenges That Led CeraVe to Mywall

  • Need to build strong partnerships with high-value creators across very different lanes at once — NBA rookies and established stars, beauty/GRWM creators, and scripted comedic talent — while keeping every partnership consistent with CeraVe's dermatologist-backed brand voice.
  • Struggle to identify which creators and formats would actually convert attention into engagement, not just views: as this data set shows, two reels with identical view counts (1.9M) landed engagement rates 6x apart, making creator and format selection a high-stakes guess without the right data.
  • No streamlined system for comparing performance across formats: trivia games, GRWM hauls, scripted skits, athlete cameos, and OOH stunts each needed to be benchmarked against each other, but tracking was fragmented across brand, agency, and individual creator reporting.
  • Lack of attribution and performance tracking: several reels (Videos 6 and 7) reached over 1M and 3.5M views respectively with no accessible engagement data, hindering CeraVe’s ability to tell which high-reach posts were actually resonating versus simply being served widely.

How CeraVe Improved Their Campaign Process with Mywall

  • Leveraged Mywall’s creator discovery tools to identify and vet talent across multiple verticals in one workflow — from NBA rookies and Summer League athletes to beauty creators and scripted comedic performers — rather than sourcing each category through separate relationships.
  • Used Mywall's campaign management and bulk coordination features to run multiple concurrent creative concepts (e.g., Videos 4 and 5, posted 19 minutes apart) under one production and approval pipeline, keeping brand messaging and CTAs consistent across formats.
  • Centralized performance tracking and reporting through Mywall gave CeraVe a single view across views, likes, and engagement rate by format — the same comparative view used to build this case study — making it possible to see, for example, that comedic two-person skits outperformed single-actor skits by roughly 15x.
